HI GUYS! -I need to capitalize it to show my excitement for going back to this blog.

Finally, I can make my time to post this comeback post, lol. For the past weeks, I really need to tell you, I had such a hectic weeks. You know like I have to deal with works which is not easy for me, who still catch up with thesis. Yeah, it's all about time management, right? After 3 news a day, now I have to make at least 7 news a day. Yap, online based news be like, huh. After working with national issue things, technology and gadget, I have to admit that I'm pretty happy to work in lifestyle section. Ugh, my dream comes true. I wish it will be a good start.

Therefore, yesterday on sunny Sunday afternoon I visited the KOOLASTUFFA's art class workshop as my starter event on lifestyle. Took place on Gartenhaus Co-Working Space-that I will review later, the class started at 1 p.m until 8 p.m and the agenda was about screen painting. This amazing class was held 2 days, on Saturday and Sunday, the painting and embroidery on clutch was held on Saturday.

Hello, me there!
At class
You know, I really enjoy the class. It was so fun and chill. Especially, it was good to be taught by the owner of KOLLASTUFFA about screen painting. As you know, we who were there, are not really good in art-mostly. We have no art major but we really love and enthusiast about art. That's why we're there. Screen painting is really easy for the newbie like me who have no idea about screening on cloths. Though, as the newbie I really think that we can do it by ourselves at home. The tools and materials are the same as the usual screen printing. The differences is only from the way we treat the materials. Here we use painting technic instead of printing and this is really make everything is easy. You just need Bremol as the base and biang cat as the color.

The boss in action

KOLLASTUFFA's
I see pattern everywhere
In my opinion, as the local fashion blogger and fashion enthusiast, I think this Indonesian local brand is so artsy and edgy. All of their products are patterned based. The unique thing that can be their signature, right? As you can see above, there's nothing except pattern on their products. As I saw from their website, I do love the women clothing. As I am here the edgy and artsy girl-people says, not me, I really recommend this brand for people who loves pattern and art and of course fashion because their products are also fashionable. If you are interested buying their products you can click here and it will direct you to their website. Ugh, I wish someday their products can be on JFW runaway.

Upsi, hungry team
But first plants
Okay, let's back to the screen painting class. After the first step, which are sketching and tracing the pattern, you can apply the base, Bremol, to your work space. Here's the tips, if you want to make the patterns full color, apply the base on the outside area of your pattern. Do the opposite thing if you want to make your pattern has the fabric color. Let it dry. Usually it take 2 to 3 hours in direct lights. After it totally dry, you can start screening it but before that prepare any color of biang cat and rubber paint. Put the rubber paint first then go with the biang cat. Mix it and you can use it as your pattern color.

That's all the process, and the rest will be let it dry, let it dry~
The nicest thing is that everyone there got the chance to screen their own pattern and can have it as their own, of course. That was my first experience do the screening process which usually I see on Youtube only.

Extra hand if you don't have the clamp for every side

Or maybe to Boomerang it on Instagram?

Screening finish
That's mine.
Wrong. Hello that's not literally yours hahaha. That was my collaboration's work with my friends, let's call it Pentha x Zhavirra. Zhavirra did the pattern and I did the cutting and screening. Dynamic duo happened.

We all today
That's all guys my kind of Sunday. I really spent it wisely and very useful. I learn a lot from this art class especially when I wasn't know anything about this industry, then now I am here knowing this industry and this art better. I wish this kind of art class will be lasts forever. I wish the owner have no less willingness to teach us, the younger, to start doing something instead of being lazy at home, right? Last but not least, I wish this local clothing brand become wider and wider as I wish above someday it should be in JFW runaway.

So much love here from Malang! Come back soon, yes?
